There is no greater joy than making music - especially when you're doing it for a great cause.
I’ve been singing as long as I can remember – learning to harmonize as my mom listened to the tunes of the Beach Boys, Peter, Paul and Mary and the Four Freshmen. After several years of school chorus, church choir and piano lessons, I transitioned to the trumpet, playing all types of music, in all types of bands throughout junior high and high school.
In college, musical theater was my game, first in the role of actor, then taking the producer role of shows including 'Godspell', 'Little Shop of Horrors'. In my spare time, I also tried some stand-up comedy, performing as the opening act for both David Spade of SNL fame and Margaret Cho during their stops at Syracuse University.
It wasn't until joining the Mighty Electric St. Jude Band in 2002, that I discovered my true passion – THE COWBELL. It’s become my signature instrument, but I have been known to shake a tambourine, bang on congas, or play the harmonica when the spirit moves me.
It is an honor and a true pleasure to 'Rock for a Reason' with the great Mighty Electric St. Jude Band.
